Bento Lunches

Bento is the Japanese tradition of packing a box lunch that is colorful and visually appealing. These are the lunches that I make for my kids. If healthy food is fun then the kiddies will be more likely to eat it. When I plan whats going into my kids boxes I use the rule “Color and Texture”.This way I have a basic idea of what items I plan to use and I know they will look great in the box. The next step is making the color and texture fun. A Bento Box takes me about 10 minutes to make from start to finish. I am a working Mom so time is always of the essence. I am a beginner  but I’m having a great time! Enjoy!
